Speed on a phone
Measured in Chrome with a mid-range phone’s processor and a 4G connection, the profile Google’s PageSpeed test uses.
| Page | Main content shown | First paint | Downloaded | Requests | Other servers |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| /rockafellowlaw.com | 11.2 s | 1.9 s | 1.8 MB | 59 | 10 |
| /personal-injury/rockafellowlaw.com | 1.5 s | 1.5 s | 0.8 MB | 50 | 10 |
| /tucson-personal-injury-attorney/karnaslaw.com | 5.0 s | 0.7 s | 0.5 MB | 41 | 8 |
| /hollingsworthlaw.com | 26.5 s | 4.0 s | 2.4 MB | 174 | 11 |
Why the home page is slow
The home page downloads 1.8 MB in 59 requests and shows its main content at 11.2 seconds. Your practice pages show in 1.5 seconds on the same test, so the problem is specific to the home page. A PageSpeed Insights run will name the exact element.
What fast looks like
The rebuilt pages in deliverable 9 show their main content in about half a second on the same test. See the new site.
Every main page has the same title
29 pages, including the home page and every practice page, are titled just “Rock Law”. The title is the blue line in Google and the strongest on-page signal. None says Tucson, injury or car accident.

Most pages have no main heading
371 of 399 crawled pages have no H1, including the home page and all 355 blog posts. The heading tells Google and AI answers what the page is about.
Half the blog rewrites other people’s crash news
171 of 355 posts are short rewrites of local crash reports, like “Tucson, AZ – Motorcyclist Injured in Crash on N Oracle Rd”, almost all from 2020. Google’s spam policies name “scaled content abuse” and its helpful-content guidance targets exactly this pattern: many pages, little original value.
Each one names a real person’s crash, a street and a date, and three carry a Nebraska (402) phone number that isn’t yours. They attract little search traffic and dilute how Google rates the whole site.
Every date in the sitemap is the same
All 385 URLs in the sitemap say they were changed on 23 October 2026, so Google can’t tell a fresh page from a 2019 post and learns to ignore the dates.
What’s fine
Worth saying so nobody spends money on it.
| Check | Result |
|---|---|
| HTTPS everywhere | Yes |
| robots.txt | Open to Google and AI crawlers |
| XML sitemap | Present |
| Server response | 546 ms average from here |
| Image alt text | Almost all present |
| Broken links | None found |
What to do
In order of effect.
- Give every page its own titleSearch, city, firm: “Tucson Car Accident Lawyer | Rockafellow Law Firm”. 29 pages.
- Add an H1 to every page and postThe page’s main heading, once. The template is missing it.
- Noindex or remove the crash-news posts171 posts. Keep any with links or visits, noindex the rest, and stop publishing new ones.
- Fix what slows the home pageRun PageSpeed Insights, then fix the slow element it names (usually an oversized image or a script loaded first).
- Make the sitemap tell the truthReal last-changed dates per page.
- Or move to the new siteA static site removes most of this list by design. See deliverable 9.
Method: crawl of rockafellowlaw.com from its sitemap and links on 2026-11-04 (400 URLs). Speed measured November 2026 in Chromium with 4× CPU slowdown and a throttled 4G connection, second of two loads.
